Easter was very different this year. And yet, Jesus Christ is risen! Alleluia!
Before going to bed, I was scanning Facebook and came across a post about this year’s Easter by our daughter, Teresa. I found it touching and I thought that you would too.

“This morning, it occurred to me that amidst the sadness of a very different Easter, the most important thing still happened. It reminded me so much of Dr. Seuss’ ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’.
It came without egg dying messes
It came without frilly dresses
It came without big brunches

It came without fancy lunches
It came without friends and family
It came without a sense of normality

It came without big church services 😞
It came without toilet paper surpluses
It came without traveling here or there
It came to each one of us everywhere
Because there’s much more to Easter.
We wish you all a Happy Easter!”

Sunday best for live-streamed Easter Mass
The Bunny did show.

Yes, we did miss a lot of what makes Easter special, but it came, just the same. The most important event can never be taken from us. Easter Sunday is the holiest day—even if the churches are closed— when Jesus rose from tomb after three days. The resurrection changed everything. May it also change us, now and forever. Amen. Alleluia!
