Starbucks has been in hot water lately. Two black men had asked to use the restroom at a Starbucks while they waited for a friend. The manager told them it was for paying customers only and called police who proceeded to arrest the men for trespassing. Since not all suspected loiterers get arrested at Starbucks, people…
“Do you think Catholics are Christian?” It was a question posed by a listener to a Christian, non-Catholic radio host. I had inadvertently tuned in on my car radio while driving from Minn. back home to North Dakota. “Hang on and I’ll respond to your question after the break,” the host said.
Could failure to follow God’s commands be robbing your family of grace? God not only became one of us, but he was born into a family with parents: Our Blessed Mother Mary, and a father, St. Joseph. There’s no escaping the message that families are intended to be holy places for children to grow…
Witchcraft is trending in plague-like fashion, spreading a deadly contaminant to the soul. At least with small pox or the Ebola virus, people have the sense to cordon it off and seek annihilation. “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul….
Several years ago, at a beach outing, I was riddled with questions about Catholics by several non-Catholic moms. It was a get-together with homeschoolers and I was the lone Catholic that day. I no longer homeschool, but I had learned early on that there were some who did not mind Catholics and some who believed…
This is a favorite story from Amazing Grace for the Catholic Heart. Billy Lutter tumbled to the wooden floor of his home. His parents picked him up and tried again to help him walk. It was no use. Doctors had been telling the Lutters to institutionalize five-year old Billy for some time. This was 1939…

I like your story and I also believe in angels and that they help us in times of trouble. Maybe we have more in common. My Father was also from North Dakota and from German Russian heritage.
I believe Our Lord is always there, that is why He gave us His Blessed Mother and His Holy Angels and Saints to come to our assistance any time we need their help.
I too have experienced the assistance of my guardian angel so many times in my life, that the knowledge of having a constant companion with me all the time fills me with great confort.
This is why it is so important to stay connected to Our Lord through prayer wherever we are.
Jesus,Mary and Joseph pray for us! Our Holy Angels pray for us!
Thank you for sharing your story and God Bless You!
Beatiful story…..!

. Guardian angel to the rescue……………..
I always love hearing people say they too have had experiences where they feel an angel has interacted with them in some way that they sensed. Through writing the "Amazing Grace" book series, I interviewed many, many people with uplifting stories of God's grace. It always makes me feel closer to God to experience him through the stories of others.
BEAUTIFUL STORY
The mother of 2 friends (brothers) was in intensive care and they had wanted me to go with them to visit her. I had planned to go with them but my father died and of course I had to go to his wake. While on the way to the wake I made a heart felt plea to my angel to visit the mother of my friends who had wanted me to visit her and I asked her to comfort her in her struggle.
My friends, knowing that I was at my father's wake, called and asked how I was able to get into the Intensive Care Unit to visit their mom. They knew I was at my father's wake and you could not visit their mom unless you were with family.
I told them I have no idea what you are speaking about. I was at my father's wake and with family and friends all day which numerous people could attest to. What they said next stunned me. They said "When we went in our mother asked where Roger went." They said to her "What do you mean, Roger is not here, he is at his father's wake." She insisted "No, he was just here at the end of my bed smiling at me and I felt consoled. He left just before you came into the room."
I think there are very painful circumstances in life where God allows our angels to manifest themselves in very touching ways. I can only conclude that my angel was allowed to visit her in my stead.
God Bless,

Amazing and inspiring. Thanks so much for sharing this.
"That God whom we desire to see and hold before us, is always ready to come to our assistance. Always faithful to his promises and seeing us fighting valiantly, he will send us his angels to sustain us in the trial. – St. Pio of Pietrelcina"
