“In an age of spiritual turbulence it’s important to remember that
seat belts, like human beings, are created for a purpose.”
That is my favorite quote of the week from Matt Archbold’s blog with the National Catholic Register,

He took on the irony of the pro-gay pride
ad from KLM Royal Dutch Airlines that inadvertently made the point that only
complimentary parts can work together for your well-being.

The airline intended to support the gay pride
movement by showing 3 pairs of rainbow-striped seatbelts; 2 with the same
parts facing each other and 1 with parts that actually fit together.  The ad read: “It doesn’t matter who you click
with.”
And thus they stumbled into an obvious truth—it
does matter whether the parts fit.  This
is not to bash anyone—well, maybe rough up the ad department a bit—because as
Saint Pope John Paul II used to say: “Love first!” Everyone needs love and
support such as offered through Courage
International
for those who are same-sex attracted.

As for KLM Airlines, thanks for all the
entertaining tweets this week.  Hope your engineering department stays the hell away from your advertising department.
